Nigeria and Angola have signed a visa exemption agreement for diplomatic and official passport holders, strengthening bilateral relations.
The agreement, signed on February 15, 2026, in Addis Ababa, aims to ease official travel and enhance cooperation between the two nations.
According to a statement, the agreement will facilitate smoother official engagements, promoting trade, energy, security, and regional integration. It’s expected to deepen cooperation in areas like oil and gas, peacekeeping, and regional stability.
The visa exemption applies to holders of diplomatic and official passports, allowing visa-free travel between Nigeria and Angola.
This move is seen as a confidence-building measure, streamlining official dialogue and potentially paving the way for broader people-to-people connections.
